Triceratops Crochet Pattern

Green and Cream colored Triceratops crochet amigurumi looking straight ahead.

The design for Sammy the ‘Ceratops came about when I was trying to decide what to give my son Samuel for his first birthday! For Christmas, my husband and I bought these giant dinosaur stuffed animals for the boys, a Brontosaurus and a Triceratops. I personally love triceratops and think they are super adorable, so I decided to make a smaller one for Samuel. My son Edward, who is just over two years old, of course can’t pronounce Triceratops properly and calls them Ceratops, which I decided was a perfectly good name for this little guy!

The construction of this amigurumi is different than other patterns, I’m not a big fan of sewing so I designed this pattern to join each piece as you make it, instead of attaching afterwards! I’ve included charts for the placement of each piece, so you know exactly where to place them!! My boys love this little guy and my testers loved making him and sharing him with their kiddos as well! This is the perfect gift for the dinosaur lover in your life!
